Maternal Care AI

Overview

We developed the Maternal Care AI Agent, an intelligent prenatal care assistant designed to improve early risk detection, clinical decision-making, and patient engagement throughout pregnancy. Built for OB/GYNs, midwives, and maternal health clinics, the system applies AI-driven monitoring and structured care pathways to proactively manage maternal health risks and enhance care outcomes across prenatal stages.

The Challenges

Delayed Risk Identification
Critical maternal conditions are often detected too late due to fragmented records and inconsistent monitoring.

Manual Monitoring Workflows
Care teams rely heavily on manual vitals tracking, symptom review, and documentation, which slows decision-making.

Limited Personalization
Generic care plans do not adapt to changing maternal risk profiles, leading to missed interventions.

Poor Patient Engagement
Pregnant patients often lack tools to report symptoms or follow through on care tasks between visits.

Our Unique Approach

  1. Predictive Risk Assessment
AI models assess evolving maternal risk based on vitals, labs, and patient history, enabling early intervention.
  2. Maternal Monitoring Dashboard
A centralized interface displays real-time pregnancy data, including symptoms, vitals, and clinical alerts.
  3. Adaptive Care Protocols
The system recommends next steps based on changing risk profiles, helping providers act faster and more accurately.
  4. Patient Engagement Interface
Mobile-friendly tools allow patients to log symptoms, track tasks, and receive timely reminders throughout their care journey.
  5. Interoperable Documentation & Reporting
Structured reports are generated automatically and synced with EMRs using standard protocols, ensuring care continuity.

Results

  • Earlier identification of high-risk pregnancies with AI-based alerts
  • Faster decision-making through structured monitoring tools
  • Better care continuity via patient engagement and provider collaboration
  • Streamlined reporting and documentation for each clinical encounter
